No, the lack of spell-checker is NOT a feature, I agree with you, but the lack of features in general is. Less is more, as they say, but (as Mark Shuttleworth pointed out recently) it will always been less for some people. It&#039;s hard to decide where to put the limit, where to stop adding features for the sake of the whole application. In the case of the spell-checker, I agree with you: it should be implemented.</description>

Generally one can turn on/off the checker at will, so that if you want it on, you can have it on, and if you don&#039;t, you can have it off. I like Kjots but they need to improve it by e.g. have it work off the Kparts backend which is used by KWrite, Kate, Kile, etc. It would be more flexible and be better integrated with the rest of KDE. </description>
