The best of the net

The best of the net
What blogs do we read? Where do me get our material from?

It is our pleasure and goal to bring the best -and only the best- information to your screens. While we may feature original material from time to time, most of our post will be articles from other renowned blogs, and this is why we felt it would be appropriate that our first round up be written about tech blogs. The following links are definitely worth bookmarking if you haven’t already done so. Click on the the names to be redirected to the site.

1. Gizmodo

Gizmodo is my personal favorite: I spend way more time on it than i should. The design of the site takes some getting used to – particularly the comments system – but the content is first class, full of wit and information. The user community is exceptional, you’ll find NASA engineers, web designers and geeks of all walks of life, and hell, even Bill Gates reads the blog!

2. Engadget

Engadget is what we could call Gizmodo’s evil twin: It was founded by Peter Rojas, Gizmodo’s co-founder and former technology weblog editor. The blog is updated multiple times a day, and features posts by high profile bloggers. Its reach in the tech industry is very powerful. Remember in 2007, when it announced that OSX Leopard and the iPhone would be delayed, as stated in a hoax letter from Apple employees? Well Apple’s shares dropped 3%.

3. CNET.com

Cnet isn’t a blog per se. It’s more like a tech hub, from which you can access dozens of blogs and other sub sites, according to your area of interest. It’s also one of the world’s leading download repositories, but more importantly, it’s the home of CnetTV. If you haven’t watched Molly Wood’s Buzz Report or watched The AppleByte, you’ve been missing out on a lot.

4. Appstorm

Appstorm is one of Envato’s newest blogs, and let me tell you something: It’s awesome. While it may not be as famous (yet!) as Macworld, MacApper and AppleInsider, its quality is at least as good. Basically, Appstorm reviews mac software in a very precise and reader friendly fashion. I strongly suggest any mac owner to have a look from time to time, I’ve discovered some rare software gems over there.

5. Google News – Sci/Tech

Google news needs no introduction. Its system is brilliant, its content is wide ranged. The Sci/Tech section will give you a quick insight on todays’ tech trends and stories at the glimpse of and eye.

Of course, this isn’t it. There are thousands of high quality tech blogs on the web, and we will try to diversify or sources as much as possible. With time, we would like to incorporate sites you tell us about (or run), so unleash yourselves in the comments section!
